TRANSFERS

We are of the few firearms dealers in the area that understand the difficulties involved with packing and shipping firearms, and we of the only ones that do it. I want to emphasize this. We also handle  incoming transfers business (taking firearms in and processing the background checks).

 

Every year, we receive hundreds of firearms and process background checks on behalf of local customers who have either purchased firearms from out of state or are otherwise taking possession of firearms from outside of Florida.

 

 We have received firearms for full-time residents, temporary residents, part-time/half-time snowbirds, family members and estates. In certain cases, folks with dual residency (two homes), those in the military, newly arrived residents and snowbirds can take possession of firearms here in Florida, despite holding identification from another state and maintaining more than one home.  Often, especially in the case of an online purchase of a firearm, the seller already has my information on file. In these cases, a transfer can be as simple a matter of the client purchasing the item, and choosing GUNS on 41 as the receiving transfer dealer. In other cases, it will be necessary for me to make contact with the dealer and e-mail or fax my license to them, along with any other necessary instructions.

 

 The cost for a firearms transfer, including all necessary phone calls, e-mails, background check and paperwork required, is generally $40 total. For simple matters (handguns & receivers), this can be less on a case-by-case basis. We also offer discounts for multiple firearms transfers.
